What exactly is insurance for landscapers and gardeners?

Gardeners, groundskeepers, and landscapers can get public liability insurance via us. In the event that a member of the public is injured or their property is damaged as a result of your employment, this insurance will pay for your legal defence and any compensation awards that result.

FAQ

Does your gardeners insurance include tree removal?

Optional coverage for infrequent tree cutting is available up to 15 metres in height. The increased dangers faced by full-time arborists need the purchase of specialised tree surgeon insurance. Please get in touch with us if you have any specialised requests.

Do you offer protection for gardens outside of private homes?

For commercial, public, and high-risk gardens, we do offer public and employers' liability insurance to gardeners and landscapers. We offer public liability insurance with limits as high as you need them to be, starting at £1 million. Institutions of this type can be homes, estates, golf courses, country clubs, restaurants, and businesses.

Do you include the cost of garden waste fires?

As long as proper safety measures are taken, yes, this is covered by gardeners' liability insurance.

Does the employer's liability coverage extend to labour-only garden subcontractors in the same way that direct PAYE employees do?

Your EL (Employers' Liability) policy might extend to protect labour-only garden subcontractors from the same liabilities as your PAYE employees. To properly assess your risks, you must disclose the employment status of all employees.

Can I make instalments on my gardener's insurance policy?

We offer a convenient direct debit plan that allows you to pay your premiums over the course of 10 months, allowing you to better budget for this important expense.
